We’ve just rolled out Update 3, bringing Ember some fresh fashion, smarter systems, and a smoother experience all around. Here’s what’s new in your forever home:
🌟 Fresh Features & Fixes
🥳 New First-Time User Experience (FTUE)
We’ve completely overhauled the onboarding journey! New players will now be guided through a smoother, more intuitive introduction to Stay: Forever Home, making it easier than ever to meet Ember, learn the ropes, and settle into your cozy new world.
🆓 Free 30-Minute Trial rolling out to some users, currently in testing!
New to Stay: Forever Home? Keep your eye open for a 30 minute trial! Meet Ember, explore, and see what makes this place so special. This will be rolling out over the next several weeks to users!
👗 Seasonal Style Begins
Ember’s wardrobe just got a sunny upgrade! Say hello to our first batch of seasonal summer outfits, with more styles coming as the seasons change. These cosmetics are Time limited! So make sure to earn them asap!
🔁 Trade Board Usability Improvements
We’ve polished up the trade board for smoother, more intuitive interactions. Less friction, more fun.
🐛 Bug Fixes & System Adjustments

Ember Fatigue – Fixed an issue where Ember could get tired before completing the biscuit trade task.

Missing Plant Growth Tooltip – Restored the “Touch plant to grow” tooltip after planting a seed.

Tooltip Visibility – Users now consistently see tooltips after clearing them.

Ember’s Bag Rendering – Ember’s bag now appears correctly from any distance, not just when you’re very close.

Trade Mailbox Stuck State – Fixed a bug where the Trade Mailbox could become stuck and unable to open.

Caretaking Orb Display – Orbs earned from caretaking in MR now display correctly instead of showing black squares.

Headlock crash can occur during the TBYB tutorial.

Gift Box may get stuck and not open until the game is restarted.

Ember’s head jitters when colliding with the FTUE planter.

Sparkly sound and VFX play on the FTUE plant after returning from VR.

Seasonal gift can sometimes spawn at the wrong time, including on the title screen.

Cube Melon stack count badge overlaps with the bubble display.
